Malpractice
The past few months I have been researching the problem of medical malpractice in Japan. Almost every day there is a story in the Japanese media about a medical mishap. I went out to find out why. In Nagoya I interviewed a wonderful family. Their son has been in coma for 20 years after some stupid mistakes by doctors and nurses. This scene, showing his mother feeding him milk, moves me to tears.
Nurse
For the same story about medical malpractice I spent a day at a hospital where I shot this scene of a nurse with a patient. The two got along very well. The systems that the hospital has created to prevent problems showed to my relief that there also good hospitals in Japan.
Takuya Angel
In the beginning of the year I was able to shoot some models wearing the clothes of the Japanese label Takuya Angel. The clothes are modern variations on age old designs and looked great in Kyoto's Movie Village where I did the shooting.
Takuya Angel
This is another shot of clothes of the Japanese label Takuya Angel. I like the otherworldly feeling of this shot.
Takuya Angel
I really like this shot of designer Takuya Sawada, the mind behind Takuya Angel, and his wife. It was overcast and dark and I had some trouble getting a good shot, but this one is really beautiful.
