Dutch Nato Forces
Dutch Nato Forces set up a field hospital to offer medical care to survivors of the devastating Pakistani earthquake of October 2005. I was able to report on the last days of the hospital as patients were moved to other hospitals. On this image, a woman is carried to a waiting ambulance. The Dutch did some terrific work and saved lots of lifes. Very impressive! |

Children
As during my initial visit to Pakistan, children were suffering the most. I took this shot of children waiting for hand-outs from UNICEF during the Eid festival. The line of children seemed to go on forever. |

Eid Festival
Another shot of children waiting for UNICEF hand-outs during the Eid festival. Their eyes and expressions tell so much more than I could ever explain in words. |

Tears
A small boy with scabies cries while he is being attended to by staff of the Cuban emergency hospital at Ghnol in the North West Frontier Province in Pakistan. The village was one of many that were completely devastated by the South Asia Earthquake of October 8, 2005. The Cuban hospital was the only medical post in the village. Without it villagers would have to travel more than an hour on a road which was often blocked by landslides. |

100% FAKE
Fur is making a come-back after many years of being seen as immoral. Japanese fashion designer Taishi Nobukuni used his Autumn/Winter 2006 collection to comment on this new trend. He used lots and lots of fur. All of it fake. |

100% FUR
Because I didn't travel so much this year, I was able to spend more time with Tiger. He will soon become 12 years old, but he is still healthy and as affectionate as always. I took this shot in May. |

Street Fashion
This year I started to document underground fashion trends at Tokyo club events. I took this shot at a Takuya Angel/Tokyo Decadence event in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. |
