The LDP Presidential Election Committee has announced the campaign schedule for the Wednesday, September 20,2006, presidential election. Hereby the outline for the LDP Presidential Election Campaign.

11:00〜 Candidates' submission of notifications at LDP Headquarters
Reception: 10 am-
Note: Pooled coverage by members of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan (FCCJ) for photographing and TV filming.
14:00〜 The candidates' press conference at LDP Headquarters
Reception: 1 pm-
Note: Pooled coverage by members of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan (FCCJ) for photographing and TV filming.
The press conference is organized by the LDP and the Hirakawa Press Club. Questioning is open to Hirakawa Press Club members only.
Saturday, September 9
14:00〜 Announcement of candidates' platforms at LDP Headquarters
Reception: 1 pm-
Note: Pooled coverage by the Foreign Press in Japan (FPIJ) for photographing and TV filming.
16:00〜 Candidates' speeches on the street in front of JR Akihabara Station
(Photographers and TV Crew shall be covered from the provided space. All reporters are required to wear arm bands of their company.)
